I sat down to read one of my books tonight and what I found was alarming! I knew that there were some harmful chemicals in my Health and Beauty Products, but when I looked up what some of these chemicals were I was beside myself. I am still working on some research, but would like to share what I have found so far with you. Have you been looking for recipes so you can make your own homemade mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup or chipotle sauce? If so, then look no further I am posting some I found online, as well as the source where I found them! Homemade Ketchup Ingredients: 1 (28-oz) can whole tomatoes in purée 1 medium onion, chopped 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon tomato paste 2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt Directions: Blend tomatoes and purée from the can in a blender until smooth. In a heavy 4-quart saucepan, Cook onion in oil over moderate heat, stirring, until softened (about 8 minutes). Add puréed tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, and salt. Simmer, uncovered, stirring frequently, until very thick (about an hour). Purée mixture in a blender until smooth. Chill, covered, for two hours before serving.
