CranApple Pie

Ingredients:
8 cups baking apples (I like McIntosh)
2 cups cranberries (fresh or frozen)
2 teaspoons lemon juice (fresh is best)
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon corn starch
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Peel and slice the apples into a large mixing bowl. Add cranberries and drizzle the lemon juice over top. Add the rest of ingredients in the order given. Stir well, making sure that the apples are coated evenly, using a wooden spoon.
Set aside while you the prepare pie crust.
Dump the cran/apple mixture into the pie crust and dot the top with chunks of butter and cover with top crust. Seal well and cut small slits into the crust. Sprinkle top crust with raw or granulated sugar and place in the microwave on high for 15 minutes. Remove and bake in a 425 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until apples are soft and the crust is a nice golden brown.
