Homemade Turkey Italian Sausage Patties

Ingredients:
3 pounds ground turkey
1 tablespoon beef base or 1 beef bouillon cube
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons ground fennel
1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper seeds
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup warm water
Directions:
In a large bowl dissolve the beef base in the water.
Add the oil and ground turkey.
Mix well.
Gradually mix in the seasonings.. this is best when done with your hands.
Shape into patties, meatballs or crumble.
Use non-stick spray on cookie sheets (they must have sides)and place sausage on pans.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Remove from pans and cool. The sausage is now ready to be used or frozen until needed.
Finish cooking through before eating.. about 2 minutes on each side.
This sausage can also be made with 3# pork ~ just leave out the beef base/bouillon and canola oil.
